The Zassenhaus arrived, an impulse buy on e-bay. I had a hard time finding one, it turns out that later i found out they went bankrupt. So $58 for a coffee grinder seemed like a lot but it is supposed to be quality. I ran some rice through it and it seems to work fine. a couple of stripped screws but thats ok.

I grinded and grinded and grinded by hand. I could not get it to give me a nice shot. I tried different dosages and various grind settings. I hooked up a drill to the drive shaft. It is much faster.

Maybe the Zass will serve us well on a camp site some day.
