The original tape mod wasnt working very well for me so I modified the design. I tried a few different kinds of tape including the original electrial tape. These are a bit longer than the folded elctrical tape. This extra length allows the fins to wrap around th e doser blade and scrape the bottom of the doser clean. They also have a whisker to reach under hub the dosing star.

clean the area with some alcohol, stick all 6 fins onto the star. but dont install until you have flipped up t the fins in "install" mode.

flip each fin up and let the whisker hold it up and out of the way to be installed into the doser.

put the star back in the doser. click the doser slowly with your left hand, put your right index finger into the chute where the coffee falls out. flip the fin down and around the star section. do this until all the fins are in the down position and wrapped around under the star.

this is what the fin should look like when properly wrapped around the star. make sure each fins look like this. youmay have to click the doser a few times and rewrap some of them.

you need to unscrew the screws holding the top of the star in place. clean the area with some alcohol, stick the fin on with the oter edge flush with the out side of the star. make sure it in the same orientation as shown in the image above. fold it back over itself (up in the image shown) this will create a "bulldoser" affect to clean the top are where the coffee falls out.
